The Department of Otorhinolaryngology is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck tumors. The Department is part of the Institute of Medical and Surgical Specialties (ICEMEQ).

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology is structured into four main diagnostic and treatment areas:

  • Otology and Otoneurology

  • Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base

  • Laryngology

  • Head and Neck Oncology

The Department leads the Functional Unit for Head and Neck Tumors and is part of the Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Pathology Working Group.

In addition, it participates in the following healthcare areas:

  • Allergy

  • Sleep Disorders

  • Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Unit
