Teaching and Training - Unit of Gynaecological Oncology

The members of the Unit collaborate in teaching the undergraduate degree in medicine, in postgraduate courses, master’s and doctoral programmes, depending on their teaching positions.

The Unit also participates in the training of residents (five residents each year at the Hospital Clínic), as well as external residents on secondment. The training is aimed at obtaining post-residency awards and completing doctoral theses related to the Unit’s lines of research.

In 2017, the Unit obtained accreditation from the European Board & College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (EBCOG) and the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) as a leading centre in the training of specialists in Gynaecological Oncology. 

The continuing education activities are coordinated and managed by the Clínic Classroom and basically consist of three areas:

• General training courses covering the entire specialty
• Specific courses on specific aspects of the specialty
• Training stays
