Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer (CC) is common among young women and is caused, in almost 100% of cases, by human papillomavirus (HPV). It can be prevented through vaccination against HPV or by detecting precursor lesions using a smear test. Early-stage cervical cancer is treated surgically, while chemoradiotherapy or chemotherapy is used in advanced stages.
