Research on Evoked Potentials at the Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

The main line of research focuses on standard visual evoked potentials and on a specialised modality not commonly used in routine clinical practice: multifocal visual evoked potentials (MFVEP).

Several grants have been obtained from the Health Research Fund (FIS) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III, ISCIII (Carlos III Health Institute), awarded to the Department of Neurology in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, for the study of the visual pathway in patients with Parkinson’s disease, optic neuritis and multiple sclerosis; resulting in several publications in scientific journals.

Participation has also taken place in multicentre studies in collaboration with New York University.
