Causes of Chronic Urticaria

There is a common tendency to associate urticaria with allergic reactions; however, in the case of chronic urticaria, this assumption is often incorrect. In fact, no clear external trigger can be identified in more than 50% of cases.
Recently, chronic urticaria has been linked to other factors.
Studies have shown that many forms of chronic urticaria have an autoimmune or autoreactive origin.
