Tratamiento del Glaucoma en el Clínic

Reading time: 1 min

Glaucoma has a high prevalence in our setting and affects approximately 2% of the population over the age of 40. Clinical management of patients with glaucoma includes performing complementary tests to confirm the diagnosis and, in more complex cases, surgical intervention.

Currently, outpatient clinics carry out an average of 500 visits per month. Regarding specific complementary tests, between 2,000 and 2,500 visual field tests (perimetries) are performed annually, along with approximately 350 surgeries.
