Radiology Department Service

The Radiology Department forms part of Diagnostic Imaging Centre (CDI). The Department’s core activity is focused on improving people’s quality of life.

The Department focuses its activity on performing and interpreting radiological tests, with the aim of benefiting the patient, to whom all its work and dedication is directed.

Radiation dose optimization is another of the important aspects of good practice in radiology. All the equipment is integrated into a radiation dose registration system, with the aim of using optimized parameters in the studies that use ionizing radiation to monitor and reduce the doses of radiation.

The Radiology Department treats patients from the A&E Department, hospital wards and consultation rooms in the hospital itself, or from centres within its area of influence.

It is divided up into specialized areas of work:

• Abdominal, genitourinary
• Thorax/Cardio
• Neuroradiology
• Interventionist Radiology (Neuro/Body)
• Breast
• Musculoskeletal
