What does it involve?
The description of rehabilitation activity is reflected in the following distribution of rehabilitation processes in the outpatient setting, by major groups:
- Osteoarticular: 69%
- Occupational health: 14%
- Neurorehabilitation: 7%
- Oncorehabilitation: 5%
- Cardiorespiratory: 2%
- Pelvic floor: 1%
- Amputations: 1%
- Prehabilitation: 1%
Outpatient tests and procedures
In healthcare, a distinction must be made between activities recorded as part of the care process involving the entire rehabilitation team, rehabilitation doctor, physiotherapists, occupational therapist and/or speech therapist, from the medical activity itself, which includes interventions such as ultrasound-guided injections, botulinum toxin injections, shock wave treatments, etc. However, specific rehabilitation diagnostic procedures are also carried out as part of the care process, such as movement analysis and surface electromyography, dynamometric assessment of muscle strength, specific functional assessment, etc.
Hospital procedures
The rehabilitation Department has physiotherapists and speech therapists attached to the various hospital wards, who carried out a total of 66,303 hospital sessions during 2024.
