Teaching - Rehabilitation Department Service
The Rehabilitation Department team is committed to academic training and knowledge transfer, and therefore, several of our professionals actively participate in teaching. Through this collaboration, they share their professional experience with students, fostering practical and up-to-date learning. In addition, the focus on innovation and continuous improvement allows adaptation to new trends and methodologies, thereby enriching both student education and professional practice.
Teaching activity in the Rehabilitation Department is carried out at different levels:
Grade and postgrade
- At the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona, in the Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine programme, in the practical classes of the 3rd year of medicine in the subject of radiology and general physical medicine, in the 5th year of medicine in the subject of orthopaedics and rheumatology, and in the Biomedical Engineering Degree programme.
- At Ramon Llull-Blanquerna University (URL), we teach theoretical and practical classes in the 3rd year in the subjects of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy and physiotherapy in the nervous system.
- At TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme, a centre affiliated with Pompeu Fabra University, we teach theoretical and practical classes in the 3rd year in the subject of respiratory physiotherapy.
MIR training
- MIR in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: one resident per year for four years of training.
- MIR in Family and Community Medicine: shared rotation with the Rheumatology Department for the training of 1 to 2 MIR residents per month
Master degree
- Master's Degree in Team Sports Medicine in the areas of musculoskeletal and cardiac rehabilitation at the University of Barcelona
- Master's Degree in Advances in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologies at the UB
- Master's Degree in Neuroscience - Ischemia and Neurovascular Pathologies at the University of Barcelona
- Master's Degree in Neurophysiotherapy at Ramon Llull University (Blanquerna)
Continuing education
Professionals actively participate in the dissemination of knowledge in rehabilitation, organizing and collaborating in teaching specialized courses and conferences, such as:
- 1st Multidisciplinary Conference on the Surgical Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of Facial Paralysis
- Keys to success in the rehabilitation of lower limb amputees
- Movement disorders in post-stroke patients: spasticity and dystonia
