Symptoms of Helicobacter pylori infection

The vast majority of infected people do not experience any symptoms. When symptoms do occur, they are usually linked to inflammation of the stomach or to peptic ulcer disease.

The most common symptoms include:

Person with pain in the lower abdomen

Pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen.

Feeling of fullness after meals.

Person with sweat, nausea and vomiting next to a toilet

Nausea.

Indigestion.

In cases of ulcer, complications such as gastrointestinal bleeding may arise, which can present as black stools or anaemia.
