Symptoms of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP)

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) presents a wide range of symptoms, including:

Double vision

Difficulty controlling eye movements. People with PSP may be unable to look up or down and, in some cases, may experience double vision.

Person fainting

Loss of balance while walking, often with a tendency to fall backwards.

Two people talking and one talking louder

Speech impairment.

Person holding hands to neck, sweating, pale, unable to breathe, feeling short of breath, choking or breathlessness

Swallowing difficulties, sometimes leading to choking episodes.

Two faces of the same person, one happy, the other one sad, symbolizing mood swings

Behavioural changes, such as apathy and disinhibition.

Scared trembling person

Tremors.

Person walking slowly

Slowness of movement.

Person with problems exercising due to leg pain

Freezing and gait blocks.

Two different sides of the face representing behavioural disturbances or mood swings

Changes in behaviour, personality or language.
